Go to [Settings] > [Diary] > [Coloring].
At the top, choose between personal settings and practice settings.
The practice settings apply to all users within the practice. However, personal settings take precedence if they have been configured.

Appointments and slots are configured in a similar way.
Under Style, select an option. Depending on the number of colors chosen, additional options will become available.
Click the bar under Left, Main, or Right band to make a selection.
Changes are saved automatically.

At the bottom of the page, select how the status color should be displayed for appointments. Also see: Creating and setting appointment statuses

The bands are now displayed in the calendar for appointments or slots.
Hover your mouse over the bars to display more information.
