Creating appointment types

An appointment type is a treatment, product, or task that you can link to appointments in the calendar and thus correctly register your appointments.
Create
To create an appointment type, go to [Settings] > [Diary] > [Appointments] > [Appointment types].
To create a new appointment type click the
button.
Now you get to choose what category you wish to add:
- Treatment type: A treatment
- Product: An item to sell
- Action/other: An action you still need to perform
After you have made your choice, click on [Set category].
Setup
The screen to create the treatment now opens and is divided into various settings:
- Naming
- Diary
- Availability
- Encoding
- Pricing
- Online bookings
Naming
Here you have 2 input fields.
- Treatment name: enter the name of the treatment that is mentioned on an invoice, for example, in other words, the official name.
- Alternative name: give a name with which you can quickly find the treatment in the program.
Diary
In the diary section, you choose whether the appointment/task/product is available in the calendar or not. If unchecked, you cannot schedule an appointment for this type, but you can invoice it, for example. If checked, you set the duration and colour.
Encode
If a code needs to be linked to the appointment type, it can be linked/added here. These codes are linked to the desired discipline here.
If the code does not yet exist, and you wish to add it, select [Use custom codes] and click the [Custom codes] button.
Then click [Add custom code], after which you add the new code and its name.
Pricing
Here, we set the treatment rate with option to link VAT or not.
Availability
Here we determine which therapist, discipline, and location are authorized to use this type.
Online booking
If you want the type to be available for online booking, check this box and enter the name for the various activated languages.
The name is how the patient sees this type on your website.
Note for patient
Here you add a specific note for the treatment type. For example, the content of the treatment, items that the patient must bring, or other important details.
This note is automatically included, for example, in the email for the appointment confirmation or appointment reminder.
